Breaking ground at the centre for UCL Neuroscience

Welcome to our live stream for the ground-breaking of the new centre of excellence for UCL Neuroscience at 256 Gray’s Inn Road in London.

Date: Monday 17 May 2021

Time: 11:15-12:30 (BST)

The construction of this world-class research and treatment environment will boost our ability to tackle neurological diseases, one of our most urgent global health challenges.

Home to three bodies – the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, the UK Dementia Research Institute and the UCLH National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery – the building will bring research scientists, clinicians, and patients under one roof.

The ground-breaking ceremony will provide an opportunity to hear about the development of this landmark facility, with perspectives from UCL’s President & Provost Dr Michael Spence and a number of partners.

Due to current pandemic guidance, we have decided for the safety of our guests to keep the event small in attendance so that we can observe social distancing. A livestream of the ceremony will enable our partners and supporters to join the celebrations remotely.
